CENTERPIECE & POSTER COMPETITION
- During the 2012 35th Annual Surface Force Ball, a centerpiece and poster competition will be held to foster friendly competition between commands.
- Every table shall have a centerpiece and every command will have a space along the wall for a poster board.
- Each table may choose to enter their centerpiece in the competition. Each table is encouraged to enter their respective centerpieces and poster board.
- Centerpieces shall be designed to embody the spirit of this year’s theme “Surface Warriors in Action”. The Poster board shall be designed around different exercises, comrels and operations the command has participated in.
- Centerpieces and poster boards will be judged by SURFOR Ball Committee members.
- Two winners will be chosen in each category: a) most spirited centerpiece and poster board and b) centerpiece and poster board that best embodies the them
- Centerpieces shall be no larger than 8½” x 11” or 11” in diameter with a height no higher than 13”.
- Centerpieces and poster boards must be in place no later than 1815. They may be dropped off no earlier than 1700 to the grand ball room at the Hilton Hotel. Judging will begin promptly at 1830. Late entries will not be able to be judged.
